Signed Localisation Ceremony
Ockenden Localisation
Inauguration Ceremony and handing over event of our new office building, presided by UK Ambassador, H.E Mr. David Reader, H.E Sao Chivorn in the 2nd May 2007.
After then, “Ockenden-Cambodia” won the confidence of donors Kadoories charitable Foundation (KCF) and Northwest Rural Development Programs (NRDP) by the contracts being transferred to them from Ockenden International on 1 April 2007. KCF in addition awarded a new Water-Sanitation project to complement the home and experimental gardens in its main project and that of the EC.
Ockenden International co-funded 10% of the $106,000. In May, DFID/ DANIDA awarded a new four year grant for a project to build Civil Society in Natural Resource Management and Livelihoods. In December the European Communities (EC) approved a project with Ockenden-Cambodia as a partner to provide rehabilitation and new livelihoods for cross-border victims of human trafficking and migrant workers in its longstanding three main Northwest provinces.
These awards have provided the base and potential for Ockenden-Cambodia to be a viable organization for many years, coming on top of the free transfer of valuable assets from Ockenden International and the surplus revenue generated by the NRDP project.
