Visit to Angkor Wat
Exposure Visit
On the 20-24th of Feb 2008, Ockenden Cambodia organised an exposure visit to Bantey Manchey province at Takung and Konkleng Community Organitaion (CBOs). There were 29 participants from different communities of Ratanakiri province, Commune Councils(CCs), and NGOs partners. The exposure visit ended with friuitful outcomes.
Objectives of the visit:
1. To learn the best practice of Community Forestry(CF)/Civil Society Organization(CSO) establishment (process, achievement, and future plan)
2. To learn how CSO contribute to social work and involvement with CC.
3. To build stronger and greater relationship between CCs, CSOs and NGOs partners among Ratanakiri's.
Expected result:
- All participant have enough skills to establish the CSO/Micro group (working as team, and group management…)
- All participants have gained experiences in CSO establishment. They increased more skills, knowledge and confident in CSO development.
- They have planed for the CSO future
- Improved relationship/ partnership among Ockenden partners.
At the end of the last day visit, the Communities, CCs and NGOs partners spent a three hours visit Angkor Wat then directly back to Ratanakiri province.
Currently, everyone who was on the exposure visit now has been actively helping and assisting the CSOs/Micro Group formations.
